TWS demo is not really meant as a simulator for trading.
just a demo of features and mechanics.
but during the day, the quotes should be RT.

I'll put a stmt out there and let others w/ more futures experience comment or correct me...

trading NQ seems a lot like trading the momo internet stocks when they were in their hayday.
so if you're familar w/ real (or paper) stock trading, I would say your (mkt order) fills are subject to the same slippage as for highly liquid, fast moving Naz stocks.
(except for the stop running on the emini's of course :-)

as for ISDN, look at IDSL (if you can't get regular DSL or cable modem). IDSL is just like ISDN, but has no per-minute charges and you are always connected (and no voice/data splitted)
