Words of wisdom for the thread from Uncle Frank:

All "thread heads" have feet of clay. It's up to the members of their threads to decide if they're worth listening to.

Now before I am moderated off this thread a thought for you, Voltaire - why not view me as an ombudsman of sorts who will pop in once in a while and keep the accounting honest! You need someone here to say, when warranted: "The Emperor has no clothes!"

Just for the record, IMO, there are some stocks that are starting to look quite attractive here - and at this point, the potential for upside exceeds that on the downside by far, if one is a long term investor. But the risk is that just as valuations got stretched to exaggerated levels on the way up, there is no assurance that may not occur to the downside on the way down. The psychology changed a while back and that makes all the difference.

Now you, Voltaire, should recognize this since the psychology of the markets is your professed area of expertise!
