Hi Bud and Keith:

My 2 cents......I think there have always been folks who for whatever reason, strike out in such a way due to either despair, anger, mental illness or whatever. History books are filled with such as this.

However, there has been a change insofar as those who come to such people's defense! These actions, by self appointed advocates of these so called 'victims'; manifested by their cause celebre' approach are what allows more 'victims' to seek their 15 minutes of fame.

My opinion FWIW is simply ask that the publicity surrounding this stuff be kept to a simple, state the facts kind of story. What we will see unfortunately is an unending analysis of this guy and all events that can be associated (even loosely) with this tragedy. It has already begun. Why? Because there are a lot of self serving folks who use these tragedies to further their agenda (whatever it is). I wouldn't be surprised to see it as the cover of Time, Newsweek and the lead story on Nightline!

Best that it doesn't happen, but it will.

Sorry this is OT, but I had to vent.

Regards, Steve
