Looks like the XAU is making a head and shoulder bottom. Here is an analysis from one of the top day traders on SI. ------------------------------------------------------------ XAU update: The 20 day moving average(50.03) and 30 period envelope channel(50.41) are sitting right at the 50.00 area, which would fill the gap that was formed some days ago...If this level was hit it would provide a golden opportunity to rebuy some gold stocks...The question remains if we will see the retracement that will fill that gap... If the XAU does tank to 50.00, area, NEM would be a strong buy in the 16.00-16.50 area, and ABX a strong buy in the 15.50-15.75 area...AEM remains a buy in the 5.87-6.00 area..Why I may have jumped the boat early with a reload on NEM is the Extended Level boomer pattern...(lower highs and higher lows off the break day) As long as 17.18 holds for the low, the gap below may not be filled for sometime, and NEM may spike first to our 19.50 target and then within 60 days to our secondary target of 24.50-25.00... HM looks like a good buy here below 4.50..I got some HM today....I hope to sell my HM within 6 months for 8.00 a share, not quite 100% but close... I know I am the golden warrior, but I really think the big money will be made in this sector for 2001.....
