Hi Steve,
This is my first year of investing with a negative return. We ended up down 8.35% for the year. I'm not entirely happy with the way I've been keeping track of things. I've got one account with ProFunds, one with American Express and one with Waterhouse. We use the Waterhouse acct. for income producing stuff and write checks on it to cover all of our expenses. Most of the funds in Waterhouse acct. are AIMed so I keep track of it along with our other investments.
I would have to say we came pretty close with our expenses to spending that 8.35% but I'm not sure. I will have to figure out a better method of record keeping for next year.
Considering the market performance this year I am pretty satisfied with how we ended up.
Bernie
