Hi Jack,
If I may, I believe the line was set on the date you accepted when NewPort first starts. To put the line to 12/18/00 you would have had to (BEFORE you made the share adjustment) either:
1. Set the pc date back to 12/18/00 before getting into Newport OR
2. Set the date to 12/18/00 in the Newport date screen that appears when you first start Newport.

It's takes some manipulation but you can start over by editing the Newport data file(s). I don't have those instructions in front of me right now.
