Moving Sphere:

I like the hunting analogy. I believe the subject matter is of vital importance that I would like to add an analogy that was of immense help to me and if it helps someone else, so much the better. It is a medical analogy, a field BTW, of which I have absolutely no training.

First here are some principles:
1-The brain and mind receives all info or stimuli via the 5 senses. Without the 5 senses the brain and mind are cut-off from the world.
2-The hands occupy the largest portion of the brain. Try describing an object with your forearms, feet or back.
The hands send images and information directly to the brain and to the subconscious. That is why your goals and problems must be written down in order to send it directly to the subconscious to work on.
3-The body rejects foreign objects that enter into it. A natural law.
4-Understanding comes from converting or translating the received info or stimuli via the 5 senses into your own
specific language. For ex. you may receive info that you're sensing a temperature change in the surrounding environment. But translating it into your language it comes out, FIRE, FIRE, WE HAVE A RAPID SPREADING FIRE. Depending on each person's translation, some will leave calmly others in a panic.

Not knowing medical terms, the analogy used will be called "REJECTION". The body rejects any foreign object that enters it because it is not of its own. Well the same "rejection" principle applies to the mind. Any outside information coming into it is a foreign object. Until it is translated into your own language for understanding it will be rejected because it is not of it's own . For ex. you can study all the books about swimming and practice all strokes to perfection on a bench. When you jump in the water, you will promptly drown because what you read and practiced on the bench isn't working or really understood, therefore causing emotional conflicts, indecision and panic. But if you took the long way and practice, your body and mind will convert your actions into your own language and then you will develop your own unique way of swimming and thus reach an understanding. And because you created "your own way" of swimming there is no rejection, therefore, no emotional conflicts or indecision, because it was developed from within. Like growing a new organ.

So what does this have to do with the market? Well, how many seminars did you go to or books you read and TA methods you studied and tried worked? They all do work you know. Were there any emotional conflicts or indecisions? Since hand actions go directly to the brain and subconscious, I found the best way translate a chart or indicator into my own language for "UNDERSTANDING" was to do it the long way by hand, just like I did in school with long division and multiplication. When you do it enough times your mind will finally say, "this is boring and there has got to be a better way of doing this." Then the method you create, even though it may be only a slight variation from the original, will come from within bringing with it confidence, faith and acceptance. It is YOUR WAY and only YOU can understand it. Try teaching your developed method to someone else. It will only be rejected because it is a foreign object in their mind.

I apologize for my rambling. But once I understood how my own mind works, I was able to use it as a tool instead of it using me.
