The purpose of this thread is to discuss the difference between what is real in the market and what is a false reality that breeds misinformation and leads to losses. We can often see talks of Market Maker manipulations, false tips, attmept to outsmart the market etc. This kind of information is basically external and irrelevant, and pulls a trader away from reality.

What matters to us is price and volume in whatever visual you choose to view it. Tape reading, TA analysis, etc are certain visuals that show the reality of a stock's movement. A perceived reality in a trader tends to lead to predictions and expectations that are seldom realized.

It is our desire on this thread to discuss with many respected traders in the SI community how they choose to read the market and how it may help traders to create a true reality on a daily basis, rather than having to filter out misinformation.

Much of our philosophy and methodology on the market and trading can be found at realitytrader.com
Here you can gain a more in-depth view of why and how we trade what we see, and not what we think, using tape reading and tuning our mindset accordingly to market requirements.

The intent of this thread is not to discuss RealityTrader or any other service. The intent is to foster a productive, educational discussion among the participants.

Please do NOT post stock picks as this only reduces the quality of the thread. We wish to keep this thread focused on maintaining a realistic view of the business we interact with everyday.

We welcome and look forward to your comments and ideas for discussion.
