Your are absolutely correct in saying that because of the "long burn-in",(I like that one), that created "your own way" of doing things, any new outside information coming in to improve it will be considered foreign. And if you are under any pressure or stress you will automatically reject the new information and revert back to that old dependable way. And that's understandable because you have developed an efficient synapse path for your nerve impulses to travel. The new incoming information must be translated so you can understand it and realize this new information will be a benefit to you. This new info may require you to develop, (consciously and subconsciously), a whole new synapse path to correct your deficiencies. And until that path is developed, (another long burn-in), you will be subject to relapses. But at least you will know what is required to achieve it. I was into weight lifting at the YMCA when I was young. Through brute strength alone weighing 145 lbs, I was able to Olympic press 160 lbs. I could not break the 160 lb barrier. A competitor lifter showed me the proper technique to perform the Olympic press. After a month of constant detailed practice with light weights I cleaned and pressed 200 lbs on the first try. I had the strength but I lacked the technique. Regarding visualization. I do have a couple of old books but I will order it. Thanks for the tip. The next day after I submitted my post I felt remorse. My conscience said How the hell is anyone going to understand THAT? Everyone will now know you are mentally challenged and will soon be appearing on the Jerry Springer show. Nice goin pal. I can't tell you how pleased I am from everyone's comments. Dominick
