www.siliconinvestor.com is IP 206.253.217.10, so Message 15353590 is the same as 206.253.217.10 www.cme.com pings to 199.95.73.19 so, 199.95.73.19 gets to that specific page, once there, as you mouse over the links you'll see that some point to www.cme.com/whatever and some point to 199.95.73.19/whatever. I don't know the browser/html issues that cause some links to use the IP and some use the name, but you'd have to keep replacing www.cme.com with the IP address on each page within the site as long as your DNS server is down.
