Hi, VENKIE....sandintoes is right....the Mexican Heather is pretty hardy. It really depends on what part of the country you are in but if you're in Texas it should do fine. I have a bed that I have had about 4 years. Two years I cut it back and two I didn't....it came back very nicely every time. <g>
