My cousin told me they can only do two 4" overlays on the highways before they have to remove the pavement and start over because of the bridge clearance. I asked him why they didn't make the over passes higher and he mentioned cost.

I figure 10% more dirt building the over passes and they could save tons of $$$ on road rebuilding. It would also make a deeper base like the Autobahn.

Wabco in Peoria makes huge wheeled equipment. They have to have the lines removed for several blocks to ship their products.
