I've always wanted to be able to toss a big net. I watched a kid, I mean like 4' tall, toss a net that opened to 24' across. In Illinois we are limited to an 8' net and those are easy to toss. Entirely different technique.

I was poling a guy in my jon boat who was tossing my 8 footer. He couldn't get it to open and was sopping wet and covered in mud. Another boat came into the bay with a guy dressed in white and clean who was getting his net open every time. I kept saying "John watch that guy" and he'd look over but never see the whole operation. I watched and fingered it out.
