With any wild game you have to watch out for the shot. I never have bitten on one hard enough to do any damage. It used to be the first 4 days of September would find me hunting doves on the state fields. We'd meet, sign in and go to breakfast. Hunting started at noon. After 4 days we were always sunburned and 60 doves are plenty to eat. Then a few jerks started showing up and ruined it for everyone.
