ummmm....if you read the 5 to 8 post with a bit of hmmmmmmm how do I say......tongue in cheek.....I think you will get a new meaning...hehheeeee

A wood burning stove, unlike a fire place sends nearly all the odors, both good and bad, up and out the chimney. I doubt anybody down wind of me appreciates what kinds of wood I'm burning.

YOu will get a little "blast" when you open the door quickly to load more wood....this odor will last a while if you do it just right, that is opening the door fast enough that you vacuum some smoke into the house.

Apple wood has a milder odor than most. If you want a real thrill burn hickory. It's like the 4th of July when you open the door....sparks popping everywhere.

If you want a nice odor, get oils like peppermint, citrus and of course all the oils of the '60's. Put a few drops in water and set on top of the stove....it's very nice.
