Tim, What do you think about the prospects for telco return systems such as GIC's Surfboard? Since (1) most cable infrastructure is currently capable of upgrading to asymettrical high speed data and (2) cable companies are strapped for upgrade cash (in spite of Bill's $1B investment) and (3) most data demand this couch potato generation is asymettric anyway (except for some heavy hitting road warriors), and (4) cable companies are really testing the waters on data and want a low cost means of getting their feet wet, I think the next few years could be good for telco return systems while the 2-way systems could mainly be confined to big cities and affluent suburbs. Any thoughts on this? SC
