That was not my problem, that machine only dies. It does not freeze.

When I get to the monitor tab, there is no box reset display option. There is only an option that (when checked) hides modes that the monitor cannot display. That box is unchecked.

Perhaps that is a Win98 "feature", this is W2K.

The new machines are taking on more and more work anyway. I would like to use the DULL, but too much water has passed under the bridge on it. Perhaps Dell's DP setup was just a failed experiment. I know of no one else who has one. Dell probably sold me this one and closed the book.

I'm at the point where I'm considering stripping it down for parts.
