Shirley,

Will the shareholder be saying "Play Misti For Me"? I only wish Misti's mgt. has as much fun as Clint Eastwood had in the movie of that name. Took place in Carmel as I recall. If El Misti's mgt. had the proper attitude, they'd jump off the cliff like Clint's girlfriend accidentally did at the end of the movie. Kind of an apology for the pain they're causing their shareholders. Instead we get the shadow of their smiles.
Can you imagine a Japanese CEO allowing something like that to happen? Of course, they don't get, what is it, 1000 times the salaries of the employee anwering the phone telling folks they have to refer them to senior mgt. who can't be reached for comment. You think senior mgt. was out committing sempuku because they were concerned how they were humiliated since their shareholders lost a lot of money? Nah, I think they were brainstorming to get the Top 10 Reasons to Explain Away Greed. Maybe they should appear on Letterman.

For any El Misti shareholders tuned in, you might take a tip from us disgruntled WSP folks and try starting a publicity campaign against this nonsesne. You might try hstuart@canoe.ca(HughStuart) as a start.

Fight the Greed!
