I am not accusing you of lunacy - my observation is based on what I have seen over many years - I've been going to health food stores since I was 12 and am now 48. At one point I was managing a place in New Orleans - the owner, a physician who was into body-building, joked that body builders will eat anything if someone says it builds muscle - they will even eat rat poop if someone told them it builds muscle.

So the question in my mind is always - is this for real or is it "rat poop"?

There's no denying that different strains of humankind have different physiology. Most Asians can't tolerate cow's milk but Middle Easterners can - so can Europeans - and the Masai - but not other Africans - or American Indians.

American Indians and Japanese have a different physiological response to alcohol than Europeans.

What works for you doesn't necessarily work for others, and vice versa.

I gave you the link to PubMed. There is a lot of research there on the physiological effects of vegetarian and vegan diets. I would trust the research because it is peer-reviewed.

I have never read or even seen the book you linked but the reviews say that the thrust of the work was to analyze the effects of Western-style diets on teeth and bone structure.
