It's not just an issue of recommendations based on hopes of generating trading commissions but a liability issue as well. Your broker is bound by certain laws. The stock picking companies seem to think they are not bound by the same laws as the brokers are. If they are one in the same or there are some sort of kickbacks ... you have a big problem. The word of the day is LIABILITY. Remember Jenna really loved to use the word TRIGGERS and not RECOMMENDATIONS? If your broker or a company owned by your broker is constantly recommending stocks for you to buy and all it's clients lose their asses ... they may have a legal recourse. Of course this is all hypothetical but it doesn't matter if you use the word TRIGGERS or RECOMMENDATIONS it amounts to the same thing. Lola:)
