P.F. Flyers were sneakers (canvass high tops).

Butch Wax was for "butch" hair cuts, i.e. crew cuts, to make what little hair you had left stand up - straight up.

Let us not forget those obnoxious red wax lips and black wax mustaches (the ones you held in place like an athletic mouth guard), cap pistols with their paper rolls of percussion caps (excellent for wadding up and pounding with rocks for that big bang all at once and the smell of sulphur) and Batman on the television in living color. Does anybody remember Felix the cat and the Master Cylinder?
