Jim, the short-sells I enter are usually an hour to a few days in duration, not the long-term bets like last year, such as NEWP from the $171 range, which I think you remember, so in that respect, the price/time range is much tighter.
ORCL is my worst trade in the last 40 days, I have a pile of 15 puts....they may yet prove to be a gainer, and I did have the 15 calls at one point, doing a 2x in a day, then I changed teams.

I think there is too much money floating around that has no idea where it should go, that is why we get these spikes on news that means next to nothing.
In that 3-9 month time frame we also will have winter, and it could be a long cold one.....and many opps to buy the dips and sell the tops.
Looks like we are gaining speed to the down side now, big surprise. As I said, let the dumb & dumber crowd take them up, maybe ride along, and then pick 'em off at the top..

Check the news on my rat INVN...
