<<BTW, beside gambling, what economic factors are you taking into account when investing? Don't claim how much you are ahead but convince us about good investing opportunities and give the reasons.>>

Well at the risk of boring everyone else on this thread I will repeat what I have said before.... We have had many bear markets and several recessions post war.

The scenario :
FED raises rates market goes down ,economy slows down Fed responds lowers rates market goes up, economy eventually follows .

There is nothing different this time. At the bottom of every Bear there are those who predict collapse . Inflation is coming, recession is coming ,earnings are weak, trade deficit, government printing money, balance of payments, Blab bla add infinitum

It is incumbent upon those of you that claim collapse to explain what is different this time.

All stock "investing" is gambling to a degree. It's only after the fact that this is evident. It matters not GM,T ,LU or Dot Bomb. Fundamentals change , Earnings that looked so promising last month surprise on the downside or vise versa .But having said that I say that in all gambling there are smart bettors and there are suckers......Personally I don't "invest" I trade. Much easier I think.

My stock picks are in groups where the action is. To date this has been medical, blood collectors and alternative energy. Most important the action of the tape tells me what to buy and when.. For details see Message 15696156

BTW how much I am ahead or down is most relevant! Like it or not money is how we keep score.
