According to Anand's benchmarks, i850 is about 25% faster than i845/PC133. This difference will increase dramatically as the P4 approaches 2GHz, because the SDRAM bus will saturate on the i845, causing a large increase in latency.

Looks like RDRAM will win the bulk of the PC desktop market next year. (BTW I predicted the crossover at 2GHz in a post to you one year ago):

I can see a case where DRDRAM becomes an important technology for 2GHz+ CPUs. For now, SDRAM provides enough bandwidth, better latency, and a much lower cost.
