The construction business was remarkably resilient... Since it takes about two to three months to build a house, the three month backlog is still ok, but the home builders and suppliers must be concerned that if the backlog time continues to contract they could be in for leaner times...

We have an interesting tug of war between lower interest rates that is good for home buying, and increasing layoffs that is bad for home buying... By our previous calculations, we have another 6 months of this malaise... Just enough time for a spike in the unemployment numbers and the resulting impact on the businesses that depend on those people to buy their products and services... During this time we should see the market put in its final bottom...

MOT might bounce when it hits 16.00...
TWTR could bounce here...
