That looks exactly like what we had - only the nest is bigger. Ugh! Whatever it is, it's exactly the same thing we had.

So, why don't you do what we did? Get a powerful spray and saturate the nest and as far as the spray will reach, wait a couple of days and then start pulling them out. We covered the hole with aluminum foil because we figured they couldn't eat it, and that kept the mad ones from coming inside, and also kept the poison out of the room.

Or else call an exterminator who will come out wearing a special suit that covers everything, and he will fumigate the walls. They will usually come out and give an estimate, and won't charge you for just the estimate.

If you do it yourself it's safer to work with them at night.

Chris is the one who cleaned them out, wearing gloves. He said the nest was too tough for the shop vac, so he vacuumed up everything that would vacuum, and then broke up the rest of the nest.
