please don't kill the wasps-- they are a great pest contol around the garden-- I use to and had an old neighbor scold me serious about how good that particular critter is-- and
I have watched them grab larvae and catepillars from vegetables and shrubs-- just missed getting a picture of one
going in and out of a head of cabbage-- the dang thing must of being camera shy.....if its in an area where you use alot well thats the wasps fault and I do take those down but I try just to destroy the nest.....

Do you know what's bad and nasty and thank you they aren't up here in the NW is red mud daubers around the south--
now if I had to deal with those kind of wasps-- dang, maybe I would feel different--
I was west of Jackson,Ms arguing with a fella I was suppose to move to DC. He had a home-built metal bridge across a creek that he said would support a semi-- the dang thing shook when we just walked across it so I lean on a make-shift guard-rail and these wasps- bright red and about 1- 1 1/2 inch log came out and the fella yelled-- mud daubers! RUN and he went toward the house and I went the other way to
the truck and those things followed me amd took out chunks
of flesh out of my arm-- I was bleeding and my guys who were in the truck wouldnt help me in -- that was 8AM in the morning-- we worked all day and by mid afternoon in the high heat, high humidity I got sick my right arm looked like pop-eye's, all swollen and half my face was a balloon- so we called a hospital( the nearest one was 15 miles away). Doc was alarmed but when I told him when I got bit he said I if i was alergic to them I would be dead by now-- u know thanks doc,he said the poison from the bite thins the blood and travels but worse I couldnt take the most common remedy- I forget right now-- cuz it made you drowsy and I had to drive all night to get somewhere in carolina and itch and headache--- geez guess I would be killing those ones-- they told me the brighter red those daubers were the meaner they became-- those were little red flares.
