They seem to want less "globalism", whatever that means.

To that mantra, I present the following scenario:

A drug company in Switzerland hires some of the most brilliant researchers in the world. The researchers, after decades of effort, find that an extract from a plant found only in the Amazon rain forests in Brazil will effectively cure twelve different kinds of cancer tumors affecting 40 million people worldwide. Only 5,000 of those 40 million people are Swiss.

If the extract cannot be exported from Brazil, all 40 million people will die.

If the extract can be exported and the drug made in Switzerland, but cannot be exported to any other country because "globalization" or "free trade" is wrong, then 39,995,000 people will die, but the lucky 5,000 will survive.

Is this the result the protesters want?

If it is not the result they want, then when is trade "right" and when is it "wrong"?
