I live in Colorado and we buy a cow, or half of one, from a local farmer on the eastern plains. It's 100% organic with mostly alfalfa and some occasional grain. It's the same as growing it yourself which seems to be the need of the future. You can't trust a big corporation to keep and eye out for the consumer, they are after the $, so anything to save a buck or two. The question is how long will it take for this disease to spread to the US? Once the cat is out of the bag it's almost impossible to stop the spread, especially in a global market place so it will come and it's just a matter of time. FT
