As we watch the events in New York and Washington in anger and sadness, I am reflecting on values and history. Makes me think of a book which, I am told, is one of the inspirations for the environmental wing of the anti-capital groups. It is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. The book has been extremely popular on college campuses and high schools for years, now. I read it a year or two ago. Highly interesting fantasy dealing with religion, mythology, logic and culture. Reminded me somewhat of the Celestine Prophesy..but different subject matter. For anyone interested in seeing the synopsis..it is here. And don't forget to donate to the Red Cross this week.
