As we watch the events in New York and Washington in anger and sadness, I am reflecting on values and history.
Makes me think of a book which, I am told, is one of the inspirations for the environmental wing of the anti-capital groups. It is Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. The book has been extremely popular on college campuses and high schools for years, now. I read it a year or two ago. Highly interesting fantasy dealing with religion, mythology, logic and culture. Reminded me somewhat of the Celestine Prophesy..but different subject matter.
