William, it would be absolutely reprehensible and inexcuseable if those images are indeed from 1991. However, I don't believe it. That website appears to be more of an anti-establishment and conspiracists site. Look at this claptrap that was linked to it--

U.S. Government Had Prior Knowledge Of Emergency

However, I do believe that not all Palestenians were celebrating and CNN erred by not showing the citizens that were being compasionate. (It probably was a very small majority that celebrated).

On a different subject, I've got a couple of questions for you. (Perhaps I need Econ 101). But with the Fed pumping billions into the system this week and the airlines looking for $12bln in "grants", where does all this money come from? Can the Fed continually print new money? is this money still backed by gold?? (I thought that practice stopped by I can't remember for sure.) What is the downside of pumping the system full of money? The eventual removal of it?

And one last thing (rant). I am dismayed at all the Rambo types calling into radio/TV shows saying "let's go over and kick some butt!! I will go now!! Sign me up!!" etc.. etc.. I don't think people realize the terrain they'd be fighting in, the history of the rebels (they've been battle trained for 22 years), the fact that this would be guerilla type fighting amongst caves, cliffs and valleys, not fighting in an open desert like Iraq was. (American's are ignorant of world Geography I guess). Afghan people have no money, no assets, and nothing to lose to die for their religion/country yet once again. This would be an ugly, ugly war. Just ask the Soviets.
