I feel like a deer caught in the headlights. Yes, same here on a number of fronts. As far as valuations go I use them on a company by company basis. Price to sales, Q by Q looking backwards thru past cycles is helpful. Projected earnings are nebulous in this environment. I've got a Yahoo "portfolio" of all the companies in the NAZ 100. I would never invest if I looked at the average PE there <g>. JF
