X says, "What is said in PM is private, and obviously meant to remain so. I don't wish to hear about anything sent in PM mode. PM's are usually personal (at least judging from my own experience)."

And Mike replies: Are you talking to me?

FWIW, although I have long known Rambi to be an AA wife, I would have never sought her out to vent my anger and frustration with the airlines. She, however, put the airline subject on the table and part of her message struck a nerve with me.

I then sent a PM which certainly had harsh words for the airline industry but did not attack her personally. My use of the word "you" was intended corporately, not personally and I regret this but not the underlying sentiments.

I have called you names, X (and made an unkind ref. to you in my PM) but I did not call Rambi names. In fact, I made an effort to inform Rambi that while I held the airlines in low regard, I held her in high regard.

Rambi, if you are reading this, you have my permission to post both of my PMs in the open on this thread. No doubt some will find my remarks inappropriate but, I believe, they will be slightly different than has been suggested.

That's it for now, X. I will respond to Rambi's post when I return from dinner.
