Traffic and TV...

The TV is constantly keeping viewers on the edge of their seats anxiously awaiting the next shred of information. Of course, "more details after this short break" guarantees all eyeballs glued through the commercials.

On the morning of September 11th, all traffic on the normally busy street near my place came to a stop. People pulled over so they could hear the news on their car radio.

If I use the "road indicator", I'll get a more accurate reading on world affairs than watching TV, it'll be easier on the nerves, and healthier. It will also spare me the grief that comes when my actions are motivated from fear and an inability to think calmly and clearly.

I've ranted on SI a few times about CNBC. The other networks are just as bad, or sometimes worse.

Bye4Now, FD.
