THE SENSATIONALISTIC MEDIA

Ok Folks.
Who is sick and tired of the media portaying every event as a "potential terrorist" attack?
I am damnit!

I am horrified by the actions of 9-11-2001.

I am also horrified at the media,namely television, in this country. Why? For the continual scare tactics they use to generate ratings.
I awoke of Wednesday October 3,2001 and turned on CNN. The first thing I heard was "we cannot confirm this was or was not a terrorist attack." My heart sank. Not again I thought. Of course this was the 10th or so time I have heard this "could be" another attack.
When I listened further they were talking about the Greyhound bus incident that everyone now knows was not a "terrorist attack". A single duranged man went crazy and attacked a bus driver.
Greyhound immediately shut down the buses accross the USA. CNN had "live" coverage.
It was of course not a "terrorist attack". Why did the media even portray it as a "potential attack"? Is every incident now going to be a "potential attack"? This is sensationalistic journalism at its finest. Used to generate ratings and it is WRONG! To perpetuate fear is WRONG! It is exactly what these terrorists want!
FEAR.
This medium I use to post tonight is not worldwide like CNN, but maybe by posting the crap that goes on like this we can get them to change their ways. It is not just CNN of course, other networks do the same.
This board is to post stuff that the media does for ratings. For the hype, sensationalism, or to just vent like I did.
We need to live our lives people.
We need to not live in fear.
We need to report the news, not make assumptions.
Anyone remember the Presidential election results? More assumptions by the media. Report that damn facts.
<Rant off>
I wish you all peace and serenity. Life it to precious folks.
