Richnorth,
Yes it seems so, but no, lorne does not have a reading and comprehension problem, she(lorne is not the 6'5" 300 lb man, but is a woman) is just an ole49r/gold_tutor folly follower, which when done correctly will sniff for the pathways taken by ole49r/gold_tutor liken to a trail of pee left down for a scent/odor/smell/stink :o) Its clear lorne has lost the pee trail of ole49r/gold_tutor and is now doing what looks like a dog running in circles trying to stick her nose into her backend, looks like she is trying to bite her tail but its really just trying to find that pee scent :o)
o well, lets ignore this lorne since the depth and degree of understanding presented by her does not have anything of hardness or strength to make an imprint into a warm pad of butter a.k.a. can't cut the mustard(whatever that means) :o)
Before i do a copy of a just noted Si Cool Post let me give this lorne & that connected to the pee trail an example of whats really happening as we and many others already realize that this usa war on terrorism has been put together not by those military men and think tank thinkers, but by those use government politicians who let America become weak both in substance and spirit and knowledge and etc, and are not trying to cover their @ss(s) with military might and the word from official federal state and local politicians that they have everything under control so all citizens can continue to live lifes as before with little to none interrupts except for a couple hic-ups here and there etc. folly folly folly
The following Duh'ation to an eXtreme ignorance.
To:Nosmo King From: Pearly_Button Tuesday, Oct 9, 2001 ... seem a little too critical of the USA and Britain... It's my belief that Putin and Bush are on good terms...
Now read my post of last week.
To:Claude Cormier From: Doug A K Friday, Oct 5, 2001 ... My info rewrites the future, from your "WIthin 25 years, China will be the new super power. Russia will be reborned." to the following :o) "Within 5 years, Russia will become a very big power." "Within 10 years, Russia will become a super power equal to usa." "Within 15 years, Russia will become a super power greater than usa." These conditions have the following elements. 1. Russia will never again be a threat to the usa as in cold war times. 2... WIthin 5 to 7 years the China government structure as is knowned today will collapse and chaos of extreme degrees will be the rule of the day as other nations plunder it. a.k.a. Forget China for any long term plans as it will cease to exist as a land under a single ruling body... dougak
Now it seems that my above,
1. Russia will never again be a threat to the usa as in cold war times.

From: Pearly_Button Tuesday, Oct 9, 2001 It's my belief that Putin and Bush are on good terms...
but it is not if one undestands the complexity of the current situation that was/during/now and future from the 9/11 that for sure lorne and ole49r/gold_tutor are clueless on, which really makes sense since lorne follows the pee trail only and ole49r/gold_tutor only "sees" her me me me and like that can't see the forest because the trees are in the way, ole49r/gold_tutor can't see herself because her me(s) are in the way :o)
So i say Russia will never be a cold war thread as in the past, which seems to say it will be the friend of the usa and this can be of a today's "... that Putin and Bush are on good terms..." which on the surface is a yes, but as Gata Bill has mentioned many times at his Le Metropole Cafe web site the fact that Russians are the best of the best traders in metals etc.
So my above that the usa will be lessened in world power as Russia will increase, and China will crumble.
Russia will increase in strength in regards to the usa for those two everyday possible reasons, being that Russia will strengthen internally and the usa will weaken internally as a direct result of the type of corruption Gata Bill mentions in his gata.org talks with the Howe lawsuit in Boston a good real example.
So, as Russia "plays" usa president duh'Bush and company with a fuzzy warm nice together feeling, behind the scenes where the usa folks can not see, or if do they do a duh'ation, that Russia will do whatever it takes to weaken America and thereby help their climb to reach and overtake America as the world superpower. The problem here is the ole49r/gold_tutor types that "require" all usa citizens to support 110% without any thoughts to question or examine whatever the usa politicians have done, is doing or will do. Sad, to the eXtreme as this is exactually the way America can lose what all those men fought and died for since the Bostin Tea Party. etc etc.
Food for thoughts, the following Si Cool Post.

SI: StockTalk: Strictly: Drilling II From: isopatch Monday, Oct 8, 2001 Thanks Jim Black. We are on the same page. Many people are still in heavy denial about how much America is hated and resented by millions in the Islamic world. Many, like Saddam, aren't even religious fundamentalists. Because of the brutal savagery he's inflicted on his own people, Saddam couldn't unite this significant minority that's spread throughout the Islamic world. Bin Laden is exactly the kind of charismatic leader I've long feared would appear at some point to unite them against us.
Anybody who thinks there are only a few % in those nations who would go to war against the west is sadly mistaken.
I don't read Arabic. But my understanding is that there are newspapers with significant circulation across the Islamic world that are strongly Anti-American. Who's buying all those newspapers, if only 2% of the Islamic world want to destroy America and its western allies??.
Does anyone here seriously expect us to believe that 2% of the population of Libya is enough to keep Ghadaffi in power? Or only 2% of the Iranian population supports their Anti-American regime?
And, what's the thread's guess as to the % of Pakistanis who support the Taliban vs how many are strongly in favor of a strong military alliance with America against them? Anybody who thinks we'd win that vote is in la la land IMHO.<lol>
More likely, Pakistan is near the top of the short list of Islamic nations vulnerable to the next radical fundamentalist takeover. And Saudi Arabia is another. Tic toc.
As far as what comes next for us? We may see an interesting parallel to the onset of WWII in Europe develop in the months ahead.
Britain and it's key European allies declared War on Nazi Germany when it invaded Poland in early Sept 1939. Then, from the end of September until the following April, there was a period commonly known as the "Phoney War" when relatively little happened.
With the long time periods of inaction we've seen between previous large scale terror attacks, we could be in for another period of "Phoney War". If so, skeptics will grow in numbers and vociferously declare the threat is over. That we've effective plugged the holes in our domestic security. That'll be the time to hunker down, folks.
The FBI and other government security agencies have said there are probably about 1,000 people in the US with close ties to the terror network. It would make sense for them to lay low for awhile and wait for exactly that kind complacency to creep back into public and official thinking. All the easier easier to for them to mount the next major attack.
Hard to believe, but it might actually take another massive hammer blow or a complete cut off of oil from the Persian Gulf for Americans to finally wake up to the reality that this IS a World War not some low impact police action.
A few will call us paranoid, Jim. So be it. I've watched this coming for many years and have the historical background to be able to side step the wishful thinking that's still endemic in public opinion.
The only similarity to between this war and Vietnam is that we are being drawn into it a little at a time. Just a few surgical strikes with good intelligence and follow up strikes over a period of a year or two and we'll wipe out these isolated bands of trouble makers. Sure...
One of the worst mistakes that can be made is to underestimate an adversary. And that's exactly what I''m seeing. Even if we could wipe out all members of the current terror organizations, thousands more would immediately volunteer to replace them
This war will most likely be episodic and could last many years, becoming a lot bloodier on both sides before half of our people even have a clue as to what we're up against.
