I guess what gets me about this whole SI dying topic is this:

Last time it came up, oh, about 8 months ago, I had posted something to this effect, and SI delivered a mass mailing denying it was going belly up due to stock plunge, etc.

Now, If I understnad this thread correctly, they haven't said boo "this time", either publically or privately.

Anyone read any significance into this lack of denial like they went on the offensive last time?

The quote by old SI Bob in the thread post header is one of the things that lends the most credibility to the imminent SI demise postulate, frankly, simply by association with this thread/subject in the first place.
