Annie: "I have the card"
Can't be the ace (or she would be telling the truth)
Could have the king

Betty: "I do not have the card"
Could be the ace
Cant be the king

Cassie: "Annie does not have the card"
She could have the king, but not the ace.

So, Annie=K, Betty=A, Cassie=K
Now you add the fact that "at most" one statement is true.

If Annie has the King than she is telling the truth, betty is telling the truth and cassie is lying. 2 truths, no good.

If Betty has the ace, then she is lying, annie is lying, and Cassie is telling the truth. This satisfies the conditions

If Cassie has the king, then she is telling the truth, betty is telling the truth, and annie is lying. 2 truths, no good.

Thus Betty has the ACE
