No real big surprise there, what with the proof that Intel's 0.13 micron transistors leak so much. Now they do have a point, fully depleted SOI is likely to be superior to traditional SOI. I wonder if AMD is trying to get this to work, I am still trying to figure out why they built that addition to Fab30. According to Hans DeVries, some of the information that AMD and Motorola released about their process in December indicates that they may be doing this (or had plans on doing this) in their SOI process.
