(1) Did you hear about the war between Newfoundlanders and Nova Scotians?

The Nova Scotians were throwing hand grenades at the Newfoundlanders and the
Newfoundlanders were pulling the pins out and throwing them back

(2) A Nova Scotian was walking down the street in Halifax when he noticed a Newfoundlander
jumping up and down on a man hole cover and repeatedly shouting eighty-eight eighty-eight eighty eight.

So the Nova Scotian goes over to him and says "hey Newf what are you doing?" And the
Newfoundlander replies "get down in the hole and I will show you." So the Nova Scotian climbs down in
the hole and Newfoundlander puts the cover back on and starts jumping up and down on it shouting
eighty-nine eighty nine eighty nine.
