Ed,
After the market close today, BTRN announced a shelf registration for 5M shares...short term bad news, but should give them a nice hunk of cash to see them through until positive earnings.

I'm sure you did a good job on your DD, but let me mention a few kickers, just by chance you over looked them.

1)They have started a product revenue flow with their Eligix product that has been approved in Europe and currently is in Phase III trials here in the states. They have partnered with Gambro to market the product in Europe. At the ASH conference this past weekend, they had a big showing of the product.
2)They have partnered with NVS for their stem cell research operation that is domiciled in Australia. They have alluded to taking this operation public in 2002. BTRN owns 33% of the operation.
3)Agreed that Phase II results aren't the same as final Phase III (remember, I owned XOMA, also)but from results so far, their results look the best IMO of the competition.
4)MEDI has indicated they are taking MEDI-507 into two more indications this year...guess this means within the next two weeks if my calendar is correct. For them to take the drug into two indications at the same time, IMO it indicates they feel very positive about this expenditure. And the fact they are doing this with data that just isn't pre-clinical as they have looked very closely at the psoriaris data.
5)The accumulation going on in this stock is very VERY positive. Not my post on the BTRN board this afternoon...however, this was before the stock offering announcement. Tomorrow could be a downer...
