Wondering about a little history. To tell the future.

My question is, can you give examples from over the past 100 years of when the most inflationary type of environment was, (1)big gov't spending or (2) less Gov't spending but big private sector spending / investing.

And if my original thoughts are correct the most type of inflationary environment is more on the side of Big Gov't spending and less during private sector spending like we had in the 90's.

With all this talk about being on the war path, about something that is or isn't a war depending on if your a prisoner or not, which is leading to big Gov't spending will lead to a more inflationary environment in the next few years.
