FOR THOSE THAT LIKE MATH...

A mother is 21 years older than the son. In 6 years, the son will be 5 times
younger than his mother.

Question: Where is the father?

***This CAN be solved, is not as hard as you think!
****DON'T scroll down at once and look at the answer! First we'll solve it
together :)
BUT: You need to pay a lot of attention to the question: where is the
father?

You should find the answer alone but you also have the answer down.

The answer:

The boy has today "X" years.The mother has today "Y" years.
We know the mother is 21 years older than the son.

===> X+21=Y

We know that in 6 years the boy will be 5 times younger than his mother.
From where we get this next equation:

===> 5(X+6)=Y+6

5X+30 = X+21+6
5X-X = 21+6-30
4X = -3
X = -3/4

The boy is today -3/4 years old which means -9 months old or even better
he'll be born in 9 months from now.

ANSWER: the father is ON TOP of the mother...

++++++++++++++++
Special note to Rudy: No need to describe 129 positions which place the father somewhere other than "On Top". Just accept this as a "figurative" rather than "literal" description of the father's precise location. ;^)
