Jim, the naz is in baaad shape, and looking worse every hour..When I saw the news a earlier today regarding the Israeli soldiers killed inside a booby-trapped building, I knew this would be a real negative for the markets. Most people attempt to ignore this stuff, but it creates a mindset. Add in no "E" in corporate earnings, and you get another mindset. Think world-wide rise in terrorism as things escalate in the Middle East... William: The Nasdaq is below its 1775 to 1780 trendline... Unless it can break through it continues down to 1700... As for the Mideast conflict... I think we may be seeing the final blowoff in the weeks to come... This will be negative for the markets but could be the turning point for a fragile Mideast peace as the more moderate forces of both sides decide that enough blood has been spilled... The only fly in the ointment is Hamas and Hesbilla... Their agenda is Jihad... They will never accept the existence of Israel... So, unless the Arab nations and Israel work together to eliminate the terrorist groups that will do everything in their power to thwart peace, there will be no peace... After reading what I just wrote I realized the extreme difficulty of the situation because the Mideast terrorist groups are being funded by Saudi Arabia and supported by Iraq, Iran, and Egypt... Also, most of the 19 terrorists that crashed planes on 9/11 were Saudies... Money is being paid to suicide bomber families by the Saudies and Iraqi's... Is Colin Powell asking the fox to come up with a plan to guard the chicken coup??? Jim
