In my opinion, America has gone much further towards a socialist system than I ever dreamed possible in my lifetime. And there are political ideas in this country that really scare me. There is socialism in both major political parties, perhaps more so in one than the other, but there is one little party that scares me to death, and that is the Green Party. They advocate government ownership of the largest corporations. Plus, they want to limit the use of private property. Let's hope they never gain any power. The DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) also scare me, but not near as much as the Greens. Btw, I did not mean to convert this board to a political board, but sometimes there is a need to respond.
