Yes, I do. I believe that manipulation happens in many forms. But I also consider it to be part of the game. I assume that the guy on the other side of the trade is trying to get the better of me. I also believe that the stockmarket is here for one purpose; to sell little bits of worthless paper to us in exchange for little pieces of paper that have some real value.

When a poker player bluffs, he is essentially trying to manipulate you into showing your hand or folding so he can take your money. Your job is to read his bluffs (manipulation) and trade around it.

I tend to view the professional bulls as being more manipulative than bears. When you cosider the PPT and the fact that the stock market bubble of the late 90s was essentially a liquidity induced bubble caused by the FOMC...well, it is obvious where the big guns are.

I think that today's was a bluff. I didn't flinch even though I got a little bit of a squeeze. We shall see if Mr. Market is holding four aces soon enough.
