Telecommunications companies were the biggest job cutters again in June, slicing 30,455 jobs during the month. Telecom accounted for 23% of all layoff announcements in the first half of the year. Computer companies cut 25,392 jobs in June. Industrial goods companies cut 8,801. We're going to need a shoe tree for all those other shoes to drop... Enron, Andersen, Tyco, Xerox, Vivendi, etc...
