don't know much about bonds, so I generally leave them alone. I guess the way to play them is in one of the many bond type funds...

I use the bond funds when the technicals point to further yield drops... As you know, there is an inverse relationship to yield and the bond price... Even though corporates pay more, in today's environment U.S. Gov't securities bond funds offer the best balance of safety and return...

Here is an example of a divergence of a Gov't bond fund with the S&P 500...
