Toby, The relevance of political discussion to investing is perfectly clear to me. As long as Wall Street is a criminal operation acting above the law, there is scant hope that the "retail" investor will ever be anything more than the chump in the game. In the sleaziest section of Sunset Boulevard, the street hustlers say: "If you ain't workin' an angle, you are the angle." Unfortunately, Wall Street has been permitted to take exactly the same attitude toward the retirement savings of this nation, and the consequences of this crime are just now beginning to come into focus. It's only a small-minded individual who would be consumed with "technical analysis" or market chatter in the face of the much bigger and entirely more ominous reality this nation faces. Salaams, Ray
