I merely point out that the Governor of Tokyo, a man who 'would say no' to the US, could have bought a few JGBs to rid himself of the risk of Japanese bank, without taking on the risk of NYC bank. But he did not do so. <<Japanese banks suck>> So what? Buying JGB would still have solved the problem. The point being, I suppose, the Governor of Tokyo wanted to (a) start a trend, (b) was told to do so, or (c) is out of his mind. As for the <<alternative implications>> ... already taken care of ...
